This is a design movement based on experiences related to proffesional designers who are working in current Iranian design market. We belive we are not german functionalists or Italian artist/designers. Iranian design market has a specific taste and we are supplying this market for 30 recent years.
In MEHA Design we work based on Tehran Movement manifesto.
1- We are Not German Functionalists. We do not believe in Dieter Rhams's "Good Design" rules. "small is beautifull", "simple is beautifull" and "form follows function" do not work in our market.
2- We do not shame to decorate objects if it is necessary. Persian Art is has a decorative persona and we respect it. Some objects need decorations and some don't.
3- We believe in design refferences and we try to use strong refferences to introduce more reliable designs. Main design refferences in Tehran Movement are Math, Nature and History.
4- We, Tehran Movement designers believe in layerd and complex designs. Our market never satisfies with simple, clear and easy products. As much as layers like functions, culture, identity and so on makes the product more complex and more satisfying.
5- We believe in order in our designs. Caos can not communicate with minds and souls. Right component in right place via right relations results the products order.
6- Color is a main part of aesthetics in design. Pure colors are not attractive in out market. Our customers look for complex colors and color sets.
7- We highly take care of details. We believe each detail and relation between details makes the total character of the product. In current Persian Art and Industry you may not find remarkable details. In Tehran Movement we are going to change this.
