Virtual Laboratories – UX/UI Design Project
Challenge:
Universities face the challenge of providing students with practical laboratory experiences outside of physical facilities. Limited access to equipment and lab spaces often restricts students from gaining hands-on knowledge and experimenting with complex processes in real time.
Objective:
The goal of this project was to design an immersive digital platform that allows students to access laboratory environments virtually. The application aimed to provide interactive learning content, simulate real lab practices, and support knowledge acquisition through engaging and realistic experiences.
Solution:
The platform was developed as a Virtual Reality application with a strong focus on intuitive navigation and user-friendly design. Students can explore different laboratory spaces, operate equipment, and conduct experiments in a simulated environment. The design emphasized a clear UI structure, interactive elements, and compatibility across various devices (VR headsets, desktop).
Result:
The project demonstrates how Virtual Reality can enhance education by making hands-on learning accessible anytime and anywhere. It improves access to high-quality education, fosters interactive engagement, and increases motivation by bridging the gap between theory and practice.
